Community Service

Through community service, the North Monticello Community Outreach organization is able to connect with people from different walks of life, broaden our perspective, and gain a sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing that we are making a tangible impact. By volunteering our time, resources, and skills, we are able to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and in turn, contribute to the well-being of society as a whole. It is our presence and active participation in community initiatives, such as mentoring programs, food drives, or environmental clean-up projects, that helps to ensure their success. Our presence as volunteers demonstrates that every individual has the power to effect positive change, and inspires others to take action as well.

01

Community Day

Under the leadership of Dr. Melvin, NMCO coordinates partnerships in order to feed the community when there is a need and provide opportunities for healthy relationships between first responders and families in the neighborhood.

02

Community Clean-up

In partnership with other local organizations such as Columbia International National University and Homeworks, NMCO's leadership has provided renovation to homes in the community.

03

Back-To-School Drive

Annually, NMCO with Temple Zion Baptist Church gives away clothing, meals, and over 100 book bags to children to prepare for the beginning of the school year.
